一、學(xué)科簡介Introduction

外國語言學(xué)及應(yīng)用語言學(xué)二級學(xué)科下設(shè)語言學(xué)、語言教學(xué)兩個研究方向。目標(biāo)在于使學(xué)生系統(tǒng)地掌握國內(nèi)外語言學(xué)的語音學(xué)、形態(tài)學(xué)、句法學(xué)、語義學(xué)及語用學(xué)的基礎(chǔ)理論，了解語言學(xué)各個分支重要流派的指導(dǎo)思想，掌握系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)、心理語言學(xué)、認知語言學(xué)等領(lǐng)域的主要研究方法，具備獨立提出問題、開展研究的學(xué)術(shù)能力，培養(yǎng)尊重科學(xué)、實事求是的學(xué)術(shù)品質(zhì)。

The Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics offers two main research pathways: Linguistics and Language Teaching. This program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in key linguistic theories, including phonetics, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics, with both a domestic and international scope.

Students will gain in-depth knowledge of the guiding principles from prominent schools of thought across various linguistic branches. They will also develop expertise in essential research methodologies, such as systemic functional linguistics, psycholinguistics, and cognitive linguistics.

The program emphasizes the cultivation of critical academic skills, enabling students to independently identify research questions and conduct rigorous academic investigations. In addition, it instills a strong commitment to scientific rigor and academic integrity.

二、培養(yǎng)方向Specialized Areas

1. TESOC（對中英語教學(xué)）

對中英語教學(xué)（TESOC）旨在應(yīng)對全球范圍內(nèi)日益增長的中文語境下的英語教育者的需求。該項目借鑒了“對外英語教學(xué)”（TESOL）課程的成功經(jīng)驗與教學(xué)方法，專注于培養(yǎng)中文語境下的教育領(lǐng)域的學(xué)術(shù)領(lǐng)袖與專家。

該項目旨在為學(xué)生提供最前沿的語言教學(xué)、文化意識及研究方法的知識和技能，重點培養(yǎng)學(xué)生對如何有效地在中文語境下開展英語教學(xué)的批判性理解。本專業(yè)的課程將嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)睦碚撎接懪c實際的課堂教學(xué)、二語習(xí)得研究和課程設(shè)計相結(jié)合。

學(xué)生將參與研討會、實地調(diào)研和獨立研究，最終撰寫能夠為該領(lǐng)域貢獻原創(chuàng)知識的學(xué)位論文。學(xué)生還將有機會參與國際合作、參加語言教學(xué)領(lǐng)域的學(xué)術(shù)會議，并通過項目獲得連接?xùn)|西方教育的專業(yè)網(wǎng)絡(luò)資源。

The Doctoral Programme in Teaching English to Speakers of Chinese (TESOC) is designed to address the growing global demand for proficient English educators within Chinese-speaking contexts. Drawing inspiration from the methodologies and successes of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) programs, this advanced research-focused programme to cultivate academic leaders and experts in language education.

The programme seeks to equip candidates with cutting-edge knowledge and skills in language pedagogy, cultural awareness, and research methodologies. It emphasizes a critical understanding of how English can be effectively taught to learners with a Chinese linguistic and The curriculum combines rigorous theoretical exploration with practical experience in classroom teaching, second language acquisition research, and curriculum design. Doctoral candidates will engage in seminars, fieldwork, and independent research, leading to a dissertation that contributes original knowledge to the field.

Students will have opportunities for international collaboration, participation in language teaching conferences, and access to professional networks that bridge the East and West in education.

2. 神經(jīng)語言學(xué)Neurolinguistics

本學(xué)科基于神經(jīng)科學(xué)、語言學(xué)、數(shù)據(jù)科學(xué)、醫(yī)學(xué)、心理學(xué)、電子信息工程等文理醫(yī)工多學(xué)科大跨度交叉，探討包括語言的腦神經(jīng)機制、語言障礙的診療技術(shù)開發(fā)、語言障礙數(shù)據(jù)庫建設(shè)、語言發(fā)育與語言習(xí)得等領(lǐng)域，面向國家神經(jīng)語言學(xué)學(xué)科與語言服務(wù)產(chǎn)業(yè)的需求與發(fā)展，發(fā)揮深圳在語言智能產(chǎn)業(yè)化發(fā)展道路上的引領(lǐng)效應(yīng)，突破傳統(tǒng)文科的理論教學(xué)局限，培養(yǎng)將理論運用于實踐的能力的應(yīng)用型人才、掌握多學(xué)科交叉技能的復(fù)合型人才、國際領(lǐng)先的交叉學(xué)科高水平人才。

This discipline integrates multiple fields such as neuroscience, linguistics, data science, medicine, psychology, and electronic information engineering, exploring areas including the neural mechanisms of language, the development of diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for language disorders, the construction of language disorder databases, and language development and acquisition. It addresses the needs and development of national neurolinguistics and the language service industry, leveraging Shenzhen's leading role in the industrialization of language intelligence. The program aims to transcend the limitations of traditional humanities education by cultivating applied talents who can apply theory in practice, interdisciplinary professionals with cross-disciplinary skills, and high-level talent in cutting-edge interdisciplinary fields.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

一、學(xué)科簡介Introduction

本學(xué)科借助歷史學(xué)、政治學(xué)、法學(xué)、經(jīng)濟學(xué)、哲學(xué)、人類學(xué)、社會學(xué)等學(xué)科的理論和方法，探討語言對象國家和區(qū)域的歷史地理、政治經(jīng)濟、社會文化和中外關(guān)系，注重全球與區(qū)域發(fā)展進程的理論和實踐，提倡與國際政治、國際經(jīng)濟、國際法等相關(guān)學(xué)科的交叉融合。區(qū)域國別研究以特定國家或區(qū)域為對象，是一個多學(xué)科、跨學(xué)科的綜合領(lǐng)域，需要整合社會科學(xué)、人文學(xué)科、自然科學(xué)知識以構(gòu)成學(xué)科基礎(chǔ)。

By means of the theories and methodology of history, politics, law, economics, philosophy, anthropology, sociology and other disciplines, the Ph.D program in Area Studies explores the historical geography, political economy, social culture and diplomacy of specific countries or areas, with a focuses on the global and regional development process. It advocates the interdisciplinary research method integrated with international politics, international economy, international law and other subjects. Area studies is a comprehensive research field with multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives and specialized areas in specific countries or regions. It requires integration of the knowledge of social science, humanities and natural science to form its disciplinary basis.

二、培養(yǎng)方向Specialized Areas

1．亞太地區(qū)研究。旨在系統(tǒng)了解南亞主要國家（印度、尼泊爾、孟加拉國、斯里蘭卡、巴基斯坦）、東南亞主要國家（緬甸、泰國、新加坡、馬來西亞、印度尼西亞、越南、柬埔寨、老撾和菲律賓）和東亞（日本和韓國）的歷史、文化、政治、宗教、外交等領(lǐng)域的知識和研究方法以及國內(nèi)外最新研究動態(tài)，重點從文化交流、經(jīng)濟合作視角研究多邊合作伙伴關(guān)系等問題。

2．美歐地區(qū)研究。旨在系統(tǒng)了解美國和歐洲主要國家（美國、英國、法國、德國、荷蘭、俄羅斯等）的歷史、文化、政治、宗教、外交等領(lǐng)域的知識和研究方法以及國內(nèi)外最新研究動態(tài)，重點從文化交流、經(jīng)濟合作視角研究多邊合作伙伴關(guān)系等問題。

3．拉美地區(qū)研究。旨在系統(tǒng)了解拉美主要國家（巴西、阿根廷、墨西哥等）的歷史、文化、政治、宗教、外交等領(lǐng)域的知識和研究方法以及國內(nèi)外最新研究動態(tài)，重點從文化交流、經(jīng)濟合作視角研究多邊合作伙伴關(guān)系等問題。

1. Asia Pacific Studies. It aims at gaining a systematic knowledge and research methods of major countries in South Asia (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, etc.), Southeast Asia (Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and the Philippines, etc.) and East Asia (Japan and South Korea, etc.) in fields of history, culture, politics, religion, diplomacy as well as its latest research dynamics at home and abroad , focusing on multilateral cooperative partnerships from the perspective of cultural exchange and economic cooperation.

2. American and European Area Studies. It aims at gaining a systematic knowledge and research methods of major countries in the United States and Europe (the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, etc.) in fields of in the history, culture, politics, religion, diplomacy, as well as its latest research dynamics at home and abroad, focusing on multilateral cooperative partnerships from the perspective of cultural exchange and economic cooperation.

3. Latin American Area Studies. It aims at gaining a systematic knowledge and research methods  of major Latin American countries (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, etc.) in fields of in the history, culture, politics, religion, diplomacy, as well as its latest research dynamics at home and abroad, focusing on multilateral cooperative partnerships from the perspective of cultural exchange and economic cooperation.

深圳大學(xué)外國語學(xué)院特聘教授。1989 年畢業(yè)于荷蘭內(nèi)梅亨大學(xué)榮譽學(xué)士學(xué)位，碩士就讀于英國倫敦大學(xué)，并于1994年從萊頓大學(xué)獲得語言學(xué)博士學(xué)位。 在萊頓大學(xué)執(zhí)教十多年，是荷蘭皇室高級研究院成員。曾受聘于上海外國語大學(xué)，任語言學(xué)教授， 博士生導(dǎo)師。耶魯安教授著述豐富，發(fā)表的著作涉及優(yōu)選論、日語語言學(xué)、荷蘭語語言學(xué)、中國語言學(xué)等諸多領(lǐng)域；編著了《優(yōu)選論：音系、句法和習(xí)得》（2000年，牛津大學(xué)出版社）等22本語言學(xué)著作，發(fā)表了35篇同行評審文章，受邀在29本語言學(xué)著作中撰寫相關(guān)章節(jié)，其中2001年至2010年連續(xù)十年為牛津大學(xué)出版社的權(quán)威刊物The Year’s Work in English Studies撰稿；23次被邀請在國際性學(xué)術(shù)會議上作演講嘉賓。在過去的五年里、發(fā)表文章的被引用次數(shù)達到1000多次。耶魯安教授還組織了數(shù)次音系學(xué)國際研討會。目前已完成指導(dǎo)約10位來自歐洲和中國的博士生的博士論文以及眾多的研究生論文。

Professor Yeroen is a distinguished professor at the School of Foreign Languages, Shenzhen University. He graduated with an honors bachelor's degree from Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands in 1989, pursued his master's degree at the University of London, and obtained his Ph.D. in linguistics from Leiden University in 1994. He taught at Leiden University for over a decade and is a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has also held a position as a professor of linguistics and doctoral supervisor at Shanghai International Studies University.  Professor Yale An has an extensive publication record, with works covering various fields such as optimality theory, Japanese linguistics, Dutch linguistics, and Chinese linguistics. He has edited and authored 22 linguistic works, including "Optimality Theory: Phonology, Syntax, and Acquisition" (2000, Oxford University Press), and published 35 peer-reviewed articles. He has been invited to write chapters for 29 linguistic volumes, contributing to the authoritative journal "The Year’s Work in English Studies" published by Oxford University Press for ten consecutive years from 2001 to 2010. He has been invited to speak at international academic conferences 23 times.  In the past five years, his published works have been cited over 1,000 times. Professor Yale An has also organized several international workshops on phonology. He has successfully supervised approximately 10 doctoral dissertations from students in Europe and China, along with numerous graduate theses.

Main research directions include Applied Linguistics, Experimental Linguistics, and Experimental Phonetics. In 2009, he led the establishment of the Phonetics Analysis Laboratory in the School of Foreign Languages, which is based on undergraduate teaching, extends to phonetic experimental research, and serves phonetic teaching and phonetic experiments. He holds two invention patents, including a method and device for correcting the production of English vowels and a method and device for identifying a person's nationality.

Associate Professor, Ph.D., Deputy Dean at the School of Foreign Languages, Shenzhen University. Graduated from Xiamen University in 2005 with a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature. In 2010, she went to the University of Central Lancashire in the UK as a visiting scholar, and in 2014, he obtained a Ph.D. in Translation and Linguistics from City University of Hong Kong. Currently, she serves as a director of the Functional Linguistics Professional Committee of the China English-Chinese Comparative Research Association. She joined Shenzhen University in 2005 and mainly teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as "Comprehensive English", "English Linguistics", "Subject English", "Selected Readings of Classical Documents of International Organizations", "Systemic Functional Linguistics". His research areas mainly involve Systemic Functional Linguistics, Corpus Linguistics, Cognition, Knowledge Engineering, and Discourse Analysis. She has published more than twenty academic papers in national core periodicals and academic journals such as "Foreign Language Teaching and Research", "Foreign Language Teaching", and "Foreign Language Research"; she has presided over the completion of one provincial and ministerial-level project and five university-level projects; she has presided over the construction of the MOOC course "English Linguistics"; she has published the academic monograph "Metaphorical Evaluation Research on Speech Verbs", edited two teaching references, and participated in the translation of the "Macmillan Advanced Learner's English-Chinese Dictionary" published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press.

Ph.D. in Asian and African Languages and Literature from the School of Foreign Studies at Peking University, currently a Distinguished Professor at Shenzhen University and a talent introduced by the Pengcheng Peacock Program. Engaged in regional and country studies, Southeast Asian international issues, and Myanmar studies for nearly 30 years, has led one major project, one key project, and one general project from the National Social Science Fund, as well as one general project from the Ministry of Education. Authored, compiled, and translated 10 books and published over 50 papers in domestic and international journals. Served as a visiting scholar at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, and a Fulbright Scholar at George Washington University in the United States. Taught at the Institute of International Relations at Yunnan University and worked at the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar and the Southeast Asia Pipeline Company of CNPC. Representative achievements include the book "Ethnic Minorities in Mountainous Areas and the Establishment of Modern Myanmar Federation," and the paper "Research on the History of China-Southeast Asia Relations from a Regional and Country Perspective," among others. Offers courses such as "Regional and Country Studies," and has received awards for high-quality graduate courses at the provincial level and for university-level talent training cases in regional and country studies.
