Whatbegan as a fascination with Chinese language and culture has blossomed into a grand pursuit for Mehmet Akif Tutuncu, who started a business in Shenzhen a couple of years ago.

來自土耳其的馬瑞克（Mehmet Akif Tutuncu）一開始只是對(duì)漢語和中國文化有著濃厚的興趣。然而，這份不經(jīng)意的興趣卻引領(lǐng)他來到深圳，并在幾年前開啟了一段創(chuàng)業(yè)之旅。

In this dynamic city, Akif has not only found a second home but also began an entrepreneurial journey fueled by his unwavering passion.

在充滿活力的深圳，馬瑞克不僅找到了自己的第二故鄉(xiāng)，更在這座城市點(diǎn)燃了由熱情驅(qū)動(dòng)的創(chuàng)業(yè)火花。

Launchpad for dreams

夢(mèng)想的起點(diǎn)

In 2009, Akif embarked on a voyage that reshaped his life and career, moving from Ankara, Türkiye, to Beijing to attend a year-long immersion program for Chinese studies at Beijing Jiaotong University.

2009年，馬瑞克離開土耳其安卡拉，踏上了前往北京的旅程，在北京交通大學(xué)開始了為期一年的漢語學(xué)習(xí)。

A year later, he transferred to Shenzhen University to study business Chinese and became one of the first international students to graduate from the university with a bachelor’s degree in 2014.一年后，他來到深圳大學(xué)攻讀商務(wù)中文，并在2014年成為該校首批獲得學(xué)士學(xué)位的國際學(xué)生之一。

After graduation, Akif gained extensive professional experience at several companies in Shenzhen. Transitioning from procurement duties to sales responsibilities before eventually assuming leadership over Pacific region affairs, his career is continuously ascending.

畢業(yè)后，馬瑞克在深圳的多家公司積累了豐富的職業(yè)經(jīng)驗(yàn)。他從采購職責(zé)轉(zhuǎn)向銷售職責(zé)，最終負(fù)責(zé)公司的太平洋地區(qū)業(yè)務(wù)，職業(yè)生涯穩(wěn)步上升。

Drawing on his vast knowledge of and experience in the electronic components field, Akif founded TNC Electronic (Shenzhen) Co. a couple of years ago. The company focuses on exporting electronic components from China to Türkiye and European countries.

憑借在電子元件領(lǐng)域的深厚知識(shí)和經(jīng)驗(yàn)，馬瑞克在幾年前成立了騰希電子（深圳）有限公司，專注于將中國電子元件出口至土耳其和歐洲各國。His selection of the electronic components sector was strategic — he had recognized the growing need for local production post-pandemic. “I chose the electronic components field because the previous company I worked at was engaged in this area, and I see the potential of foreign markets in this industry,” Akif told Shenzhen Daily in fluent Chinese.

認(rèn)識(shí)到后疫情時(shí)代對(duì)本地生產(chǎn)需求的增長，馬瑞克果斷選擇了深耕電子元件行業(yè)。“選擇電子元件領(lǐng)域，是因?yàn)槲抑暗墓揪蛷氖逻@一領(lǐng)域，而且我看到了這個(gè)行業(yè)在外貿(mào)市場(chǎng)上的潛力。”馬瑞克說著一口流利的中文。

Nevertheless, he is also well aware of the challenges of running a business amid a global economic slowdown. Akif remains optimistic about the future despite the difficulties, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and adaptability in the business world.

盡管全球經(jīng)濟(jì)放緩給企業(yè)經(jīng)營帶來了挑戰(zhàn)，馬瑞克仍然對(duì)未來保持樂觀，并意識(shí)到在商界堅(jiān)持不懈和適應(yīng)變化的重要性。

While recounting his entrepreneurship story, Akif proudly showcased one of his company’s products — a tea bar machine that he considers a milestone for his company. “It’s designed by ourselves. We’ve registered the brand and are selling it overseas. Seeing it gives me the drive to create more,” Akif said.

Produced in Cixi in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province, the machine is available both domestically and internationally, according to Akif. “It was an existing product, but we’ve enhanced its features to suit non-Chinese users’ habits. Currently, it’s selling in Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and several Middle Eastern countries,” he said.

這臺(tái)在浙江慈溪制造的機(jī)器，不僅在國內(nèi)市場(chǎng)有售，還遠(yuǎn)銷海外。馬瑞克介紹說：“它原本就是一個(gè)現(xiàn)成的產(chǎn)品，但我們對(duì)其進(jìn)行了功能優(yōu)化，以適應(yīng)非中國用戶的使用習(xí)慣。現(xiàn)在，它已經(jīng)在土耳其、阿塞拜疆以及幾個(gè)中東國家上市銷售。”

For companies engaged in international trade, Shenzhen’s geographical location offers a significant advantage, particularly in terms of exports, Akif noted.

馬瑞克指出，對(duì)于從事國際貿(mào)易的企業(yè)來說，深圳的地理位置提供了顯著優(yōu)勢(shì)，尤其是在出口方面。Shenzhen’s proximity to major ports like Yantian and Shekou, coupled with the accessibility of ports in Guangzhou and Hong Kong, ensures efficient maritime transportation. Additionally, the comprehensive air transportation services at the Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong airports offer additional logistics options.

他認(rèn)為，深圳靠近鹽田、蛇口等主要港口，加上廣州和香港港口的便利性，確保了高效的海上運(yùn)輸。同時(shí)，深圳、廣州和香港機(jī)場(chǎng)的全面空運(yùn)服務(wù)為企業(yè)提供了更多的物流選擇。To budding entrepreneurs eyeing Shenzhen as a business locale, Akif suggested that it is crucial to first immerse oneself in Chinese culture and understand the local mindset. “The initial stages may be challenging, but once the business is established and stable, the rewards can be substantial,” he shared.

對(duì)于有意在深圳創(chuàng)業(yè)的企業(yè)家，馬瑞克建議首先要深入體驗(yàn)中國文化，理解當(dāng)?shù)厮季S模式。“創(chuàng)業(yè)初期可能會(huì)遇到挑戰(zhàn)，但一旦業(yè)務(wù)穩(wěn)定，回報(bào)將是巨大的。”他分享道。

A home away from home

深圳，我的第二故鄉(xiāng)

Intending to return to Türkiye after completing his studies, he came to realize that Shenzhen is a great place to live after spending four years in the city. “Before I knew it, 14 years have flown by, and I’m still here,” Akif said with a laugh.

原本計(jì)劃學(xué)業(yè)完成后返回土耳其的馬瑞克，在深圳生活了四年之后，發(fā)現(xiàn)這座城市是安居樂業(yè)的好地方。“不知不覺，14年過去了，我還在這里。”馬瑞克笑著回憶。

Having lived in China for almost 15 years, Akif said that, culturally, he feels like he is half Chinese. “Once I arrived in Shenzhen, I didn’t want to leave. Had I chosen Beijing, Shanghai, or Guangzhou, I might have returned to Türkiye. But I felt Shenzhen is like home,” Akif said, not hiding his fondness of the city.在中國生活了近15年的他，早已融入了這里的生活。他對(duì)這座城市的喜愛溢于言表。“來了深圳，就不想離開了。如果當(dāng)初選擇了北京、上海或廣州，我可能已經(jīng)回土耳其了。但深圳讓我有了家的感覺。”

Like many Shenzhen residents, Akif said he came to the city to work, earn a living, and better his life. This common goal has made his time here very fulfilling. “As for moving elsewhere, I’m not sure I’d find the same level of convenience,” he said.馬瑞克說，和許多深圳居民一樣，他來到深圳是為了工作、謀生和改善生活。而這個(gè)目標(biāo)讓他在這里的生活變得充實(shí)。“如果搬到其他地方，我不確定還能不能享受現(xiàn)在這樣的便利。”

“I feel like 24 hours a day is not quite enough for me,” he joked, noting the city’s growth over the past 14 years and its fast-paced lifestyle.馬瑞克也見證深圳14年來的飛速發(fā)展和快節(jié)奏的生活。“我感覺一天24小時(shí)都不夠用。”他半開玩笑地說。

Akif is most satisfied with the city’s safety, urban management, convenient public transportation that makes getting around the city a breeze, and a clean and hygienic environment that contributes to a high quality of life.馬瑞克對(duì)深圳的治安、城市管理、便捷的公共交通以及干凈衛(wèi)生的環(huán)境感到非常滿意，這些都為高質(zhì)量的生活提供了保障。

However, he thinks the city could benefit from an increase in the number of hospitals and schools. “Given the large population, it's imperative that these essential services are expanded to meet growing needs. Despite this, the work that the Shenzhen government has done so far is commendable,” he said.不過，他也認(rèn)為深圳可以在醫(yī)院和學(xué)校的數(shù)量上進(jìn)一步改善。“考慮到龐大的人口，擴(kuò)大這些基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施以滿足不斷增長的需求是至關(guān)重要的。盡管如此，深圳政府至今所做的工作還是很好的。”

“Shenzhen is a very good city that not only welcomes Chinese citizens but also embraces international talent, which can help Shenzhen develop better,” Akif added.

“深圳是一個(gè)偉大的城市，它不僅歡迎中國公民，也擁抱國際人才，這有助于深圳更好地發(fā)展。”馬瑞克說。

A soccer enthusiast since childhood and former soccer player, Akif became actively involved in the local football scene when he arrived in Shenzhen and established the first expat fan association for the Shenzhen Football Club.作為從小就是足球迷的前足球運(yùn)動(dòng)員，馬瑞克一到深圳就積極參與本地的足球活動(dòng)，并成立了深圳足球俱樂部的首個(gè)外籍球迷協(xié)會(huì)。

Over the years, he has also organized some soccer clubs and participated in the soccer league for expats in Shenzhen.多年來，他還組織了一些足球俱樂部，并參加了深圳外籍人士的足球聯(lián)賽。

Looking ahead, Akif aims to expand his business by opening a factory in Türkiye and leveraging his expertise in electronic components. He is also a strong advocate for closer collaboration between Türkiye and China, believing that there is significant room for growth in their partnership.展望未來，馬瑞克計(jì)劃在土耳其開設(shè)工廠，利用他在電子元件領(lǐng)域的專業(yè)知識(shí)擴(kuò)大業(yè)務(wù)。他堅(jiān)信土耳其與中國的合作有著巨大的發(fā)展?jié)摿Γ⒎e極推動(dòng)兩國更緊密的合作。
