"Word Poker" - A Fun Storm in the Classroom of the 2023 Chinese Language International Education Class 1

Recently, in the Intermediate Chinese Comprehensive class of the College of International Exchange of Shenzhen University, an innovative "Word Poker" teaching activity has sparked enthusiastic responses. Teacher Ji Jingjing, for the students of Class 1, 2023 Grade of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, meticulously designed a language game that ingeniously combines knowledge consolidation with fun interaction, enabling students to master word collocation skills efficiently while enjoying themselves. This vividly demonstrates the teaching wisdom of "learning through play".

Innovative Design: Bringing Language Learning to Life

Teacher Ji broke through the traditional framework of vocabulary teaching and made a set of freely combinable poker cards with high-frequency Chinese vocabulary. Students flexibly used the vocabulary in time-limited challenges through various gameplay such as "combination speed race" and "scenario sentence PK". This not only exercised their ability to match words but also deepened their understanding of abstract concepts.
